The history of slavery spans many cultures, nationalities, and religions from ancient times to the present day. However, the social, economic, and legal positions of slaves have differed vastly in different systems of slavery in different times and places.
A slave is someone forbidden to quit their service for another person, while treated as property. It typically involves the enslaved person being made to perform some form of work while also having their location dictated by the slaver. They are deprived of any rights; treated as no more than pond scum in many cases. It is one of the greatest examples of abusive disregard based on ignorant justifications.

They themselves get trapped in a cage of their own doing; unable to break free from the chains that they put on with a smile.
